In Spain on every hill, there seems to be a Bull. A dear friend and customer invited me to Spain where I could meet some local luthiers making incredible instruments, It was that visit that inspired this instrument
Using an incredibly Birdseye Maple and Spain as my inspiration I created “The Spanish Bull”. The doorway in the headstock was inspired by a village I was in early in the morning. While walking through the town we saw an open door with an old woman selling apples out of an old basket. Looking out from her door we saw this beautiful paneled Moorish door that just had to be incorporated.
